One of the most exciting events in the AFS calendar kicks off next month. The 5th Annual Futsal Gala will take place at Springers Leisure Centre in Keysborough on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December.

Teams across all age groups from U10 through to U16 will be on show in this futsal extravaganza.

This annual event has always produced some great displays from the participating teams, this year clubs and academies from across Victoria have been invited to participate.  It’s expected that this year will be even more especial than other years and AFS would like to welcome all the new teams and wish all the players the very best of luck for the tournament.

The third Small Sided Football Gala for this summer will take place this Sunday at Lemnos Reserve, Corner of Springvale Rd and Greens Rd, Braeside.

Teams of U8 and U10 players will participate in what promises to be another fantastic day of football with some inspiring performances from our youngest generation of footballers in the state.

Australian Football Skool would like to welcome Genova International School of Soccer, Premier Football Academy, South Melbourne FC, AFS North West and AFS Peninsula for participating in this event.

Photos and video clips from the day will be posted on this website after the event.

First Ever AFS Youth Tournament A Great Success

The first ever AFS Youth Tournament was successfully staged on Sunday 12 December at BT Connor Reserve.  This great facility hosted more than 250 people throughout the day and witnessed payers aged 16 – 20 years old put on some great performances throughout the whole day.

Bowen SA, Richmond, Keysborough and Yarra FC, joined AFS North West and AFS Manningham squads in this inaugural annual event.

The group games took place in the morning and things hotted up in the afternoon when the finals were played.  North West defeated Manningham in the play-off for third whilst Bowen SA beat Richmond in a penalty shoot-out after a thrilling 1-1 draw.

AFS would like to thank all the players, coaches and supporters for their exemplary behaviour on the day and demonstrating fair play and showcasing good football.

Time to show heart - always add captions for consistancy

The AFS Youth Team has been granted a golden opportunity by having the pleasure to have a practice match against Victoria’s A-league outfit Melbourne Heart.  The game will kick off at 4:00 PM on Monday 30 August at Green Gully Reserve’s Main Stadium.

The nucleus of this team has been presented with some great opportunities by already playing some very illustrious opposition such as:

  • Malaysian National Team U15
  • Catalan National Team U20
  • Chelsea FC Academy Trialits U20
  • Gamba Osaka FC U18
  • Hellerup FC U20

This time they will have the great chance to play against A-league opposition, an experience that will be the highlight for these boys short football career.  It is not known exactly which Melbourne Heart players will take the field, but it will regardless be a great ocassion for the AFS Youth Team.
