I get a weird error when trying to register online, what do I do? (error shown below)

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error ’80040e07′

The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value.

/asp/application/reg/Default.asp, line 256

Please make sure you enter the date of birth (DOB) in the USA format, i.e. mm/dd/yyy (for example 10/26/1998 if the DOB is 26 October 1998)

I’ve been with the AFS before, how do I secure my spot?

Players that have completed one full program or have been part of an AFS Rep Team do not need to trial, simply register online, and you will secure your spot.

If you have misplaced your password, all you need to do is click here and enter your email address then check your email for your login details

I’m new to the AFS, how do I join?

Register online with the nearest zone to you, we will asses your application depending on available spots within your age group and your zone.  If there are available spots, you will be either offered a spot if recommended by one of our coaches or offered a trial.

What is the AFS refund policy?

The Australian Football Skool puts the needs of its players first. We are committed to providing value-for-money to all our registered players.

Our Refund Policy sets out the commitments we make to all our players, and some of the player’s responsibilities towards the Football Skool.

The Australian Football Skool program fee is, in general, a non-refundable fee. In the case of a player making an application for a refund,  he or she must do so in writing to your Regional Manager no later than 21 days of commencing the program.  In this case a full refund will be considered and most likely issued minus a $150 administration fee which will apply.

An application for a refund must state the reasons for the request of a refund. The application for a refund must also be accompanied by all original certificates confirming the reasons for withdrawing if applicable.

Players joining the Australian Football Skool program must do so with the intention of committing 100% to the program, In the case where a player simply changes his mind or decides to take up another sport or program – in this instant a refund will not be considered.

If a player misses two or more consecutive weeks in the program without appropriate notice, he or she will forfeit their spot in the program and a notice of membership termination will be issued, in this case the player will not be eligible for any refunds.

The Australian Football Skool subscribes to the Fair Trading Act 1999 and the Trade Practices Act 1974.

What age group will my child be eligible for?

  • SSF U6-U10 (players born in 2001-2005)
  • U12 (players born in 99 or 2000)
  • U14 (players born in 97 or 98)
  • U16 (players born in 96 or 95)
  • Youth (players born in 94 or earlier)

Do I need to attend all trial sessions at the zone?

It is in your best interest, the more our coaches see you the better chance you will have to be selected.

Why haven’t we received any confirmation of trials taking place?

The trials scheduled has not being finalised yet, it will be posted on this website by September.  Emails and SMS will be sent to the details you provide when you register online.

I have missed the trials, can I still join the AFS?

If there are spots available in your zone and in your age group, you can still join, this will need to be approved by the zone’s technical director. Please email info@footballskool.com.au to find out if there are spots available.

Is the AFS endorsed by the FFV?

There are currently no private organisations endorsed by the FFV (we are a private organisation). We are a registered company and comply with all the legal requirements governed by ASIC, our ABN is 59 125 743 615

When do I need to pay by?

Existing players are required to pay at the time of registration to confirm their spot.  New players will need to be first selected before they can pay.  Payments that are made after this date will incur a 10% late payment fee.

You can obtain the payment details from the registration page.

When do I get my uniform?

All apparel will be distributed before or during the first two weeks of the program. Apparel will only be handed out to those players that have made payment arrangements for their fees.  See your Regional Manager for more information.

When will I know whether I have been accepted?

All players will be notified whether they have been successful or not by email by your Regional Manager.

Where will the rounds of matches be held? Will there be a lot of travel?

Fixtures will be released once all the teams in all the zones are finalised.  As it is a Victoria-wide program, all teams will be required to travel to different metro and country regions.

We will do our best to provide an even amount of home and away games to suit all teams.

Do you have teams for girls? If so, what age groups? If not, can my daughter play in a boy’s team? (is there a cut-off age group)?

If there are not enough girls to form a girls’ team in their age group, they will be placed in other suitable teams (this could be in other girls’ teams or in one of the boys’ teams).

This will have to be decided by the zone Head Coach and will be treated on a case by case basis.

How do you select players in the AFS representative teams for interstate/international tournaments? Are there costs involved?

All AFS players are eligible to be selected in their respective AFS representative team.  Players will be judged on their overall performance, behaviour and commitment at training and games.

There will be selectors present at most games and especially during the major tournaments (Futsal and AFS State Championships).

Coaches and head coaches will also recommend players to the selection committee.

All tours have costs associated with them to cover travel, tournament fees, apparel and preparation for the tournament. These costs will be different for each touring squad.
